I love being inspired by nature and the surprising things we find on our walks together. We had fun repurposing a large tree segment that we collected from the woods behind our home.

Read on to see our process:

We stuck strips of tape to the top and sides of our tree stump.
Paint, paint and more paint! It was also a great sensory experience for my little guy!

We waited until it dried completely. Then, we remove the tape. This was probably the most exciting part!
We glued along resisted lines (where the tape was). We used flowers, tiny pine cones, leaves/pine needles, pebbles and acorns.

Looks like a fancy cake made from nature!
